Practical self-defence
We teach practical self-defence techniques and traditional movements that have been passed down between generations since our style was founded in 1836. Our instructors have won numerous awards around the world and have been passing on the same knowledge to every student in the club.
Students will also be given opportunities to demonstrate their kung fu forms at community events and performances throughout the year.
Commitment to our community and our students
Since the Chau Luen Society was founded in 1943, we have always been leaders in community service. We have appeared at the most community events of any martial arts club in Chinatown, showcasing exciting lion dance and teaching free kung fu workshops.
Our instructors are also committed to their students. Everyone is given goals tailored to their skill level and physical ability – our instructors will work with you to incorporate the techniques in a way that will work for you. And our pay-what-you-can pricing ensures that no one will be excluded from learning kung fu if they’re passionate about it.
