Within a few business days of sending an inquiry, one of our staff will reach out to you to book a discovery call. Here, we’ll ask you some simple questions about things like:
logistics, including location, parking, and audience details,
height and space restrictions,
how you want the routine to look, and
your ideal photo poses.
With all this information, we’ll work with you on pricing and any questions you may have about the big day.
Of course, we won’t expect you to have all the answers right away, so don’t be intimidated. We’re very flexible and can accommodate some changes – we’ll work with you to make your event one for the ages.
How much does a lion dance cost?
Because there are so many different factors at play, the pricing will vary from one lion dance to the next. Things like location, the number of lions, and whether you’ll be requesting LED lions all factor into the pricing.
One thing to note is that we have reduced rates for community events. If you want to showcase traditional Chinese culture at your event, our commitment to our community ensures you will get a reasonable price.
Follow-up meetings to iron out all the details
Normally, we have sync-up meetings with all of our clients around 2 weeks to a month before the actual performance. This is to ensure we are all on the same page and to cover any last-minute changes.
If you have any major adjustments, please feel free to reach out to your Chau Luen representative and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. The earlier we know about any changes, the better.
What to expect from a lion dance on the day of the performance
On your big day, we will show up around 45 minutes to an hour early. If you want us to stay hidden, we’ll find a spot where your guests won’t see us (we’re known for our surprise entrances).
For instance, at a wedding, we normally wait for the attendees to all enter and be seated before we make our grand entrance.
From there, you and your guests will experience the magic and blessings of a lion dance!
